Rathin Kanji

Kolkata based Indian artist was born in 1970.

He was a Visiting Research Fellow (Fulbright Scholar), School of Art & Design (Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design), University of Michigan, USA, 2004; he did the Post-Graduation in Painting from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, India, 2002.

Received Fulbright Fellowship 2003-2004, USA; Vermont Residency Fellowship, USA in 2004; H.K.Kejriwal Fellowship, Bangalore, India in 2001; Junior Research Fellowship, Govt. of India, 1998-2000.

He did solo show at Aicon Gallery, New York & Palo Alto (California), USA; Warren Robbins Gallery, Ann Arbor (Michigan), USA; Gallery Sincresis, Florence, Italy; Gallery Threshold, New Delhi; Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore; Alliance Francaise, Hyderabad & Chandigarh, India; Holiday Inn, Bangkok and Ruse Art Gallery, Bulgaria. He did New Media Installation project, CIMA Art Gallery, Kolkata. He has exhibited in India, USA, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Romania, Spain, Greece, Germany, UK, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi, Turkey, Australia, Bolivia, Namibia, Austria, Dubai, Argentina, Italy & France.

Participated at Art Basel in Miami, USA; and other Art Fair in Dubai, Adana, Hong Kong, Thessaloniki, Rome, Paris and New York.

He did joint project with international artists in Artist Residency program in USA, Romania, Greece, Spain, Italy, Hungary and Poland. His painting was auctioned in Sotheby’s New York; Christie’s London. 'The Times London' published his interview in 2007. 'The Library of Congress', Washington DC, USA and 'The National Library', Australia has his catalogue in their archive.

His paintings are in collection of Museum (UMMA), Michigan, USA; Kozani Museum of the Arts, Greece; Museum of Bengal Modern Art, Kolkata; Asia Art Archive (AAA), Hong Kong; RPG enterprise, Mumbai; Park Hotel, Kolkata; Benson & Hedges, ITC, Kolkata; Southern Bank Berhad, Singapore; Bank of America in London.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Matthew graduated with honors from the Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, New York, in 2000. He is a Signature Member of numerous organizations, including the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society, where he served as vice president. His award-winning watercolor paintings have been exhibited in juried shows across the United States, as well as in Canada, China, England, Greece, Hong Kong, and Italy. His work is in museum and private collections. Herman Pekel

Born in Melbourne in 1956 of Dutch parents, Herman was 17 when he held his first solo exhibition in Melbourne: it was a sell-out success. He spent three years studying and painting in Amsterdam and London, where he encountered the works of Constable, Turner and Rembrandt. These impressed him and influenced his own work. On returning to Melbourne in 1982 he began studying for his fine arts degree at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Dale Hickey, Jeff Makin and Clifton Pugh are just a few of the contemporary artists under whom Herman studied and who were instrumental in cultivating his appreciation of contemporary art, as well as experimentation with abstract impressionism. His tonal works, in oil and watercolour, range from city and landscapes to café and bar interiors to dynamic industrial scenery. They all demonstrate the very best of contemporary impressionism.
