Molly Murrah NWWS
After graduation, I moved to NYC and began working as an assistant at several design companies, eventually becoming a professional graphic designer. I juggled my time between design and art until 2017 when I turned to painting and teaching watercolor classes. My graphic design background continues to be a big advantage for me as an artist and instructor.
Teaching students to paint in watercolor is my passion… I love seeing their expressions when they experience the absolute “magic” of this amazing medium. My favorite subject to teach is portraits, but my ongoing classes cover all genres.
I am a long time volunteer and Signature Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS), having served as President from 2013-2014 and from 2020-2022. Currently I am the Education Coordinator and Juror Procurer. I do quite a bit of graphic design work for the society, considered one of the top art associations in the country.
