Angus McEwan AWS, NWS, RSW

Angus McEwan was born in Dundee, Scotland and studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College Art, graduating in Fine Art and printmaking with a Post Graduate Diploma in the same discipline. He also has a Merit in a teaching Certificate- Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education, Scotland.

Angus was elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours, (RSW) in 1995 and in 2012 a full member of the Royal Watercolour Society, (RWS). In 2016 he was elected member of the Royal Glasgow Institute (RGI) and in 2018 Angus was elected a signatory member of the Australian Watercolour Institute (AWI). In 2021 Angus was elected a member of the National Watercolour Society (NWS) in California, USA.

In 2022 Angus was elected President of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours. He was awarded signatory membership of the American Watercolor Society (AWS) in 2024.

Angus' work is in many private collections throughout the world, including United Kingdom, Norway, Netherlands, Australia, Turkey, Italy, China, Russia, Portugal, Taiwan, and North America.

He has had many solo exhibitions, numerous collective shows and has been recognized in many exhibitions by winning over 30 awards. He has also held watercolour workshops and demonstrations in Scotland, Germany, Italy, Russia, China, USA, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Portugal, Poland and Taiwan in the past number of years.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Matthew graduated with honors from the Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, New York, in 2000. He is a Signature Member of numerous organizations, including the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society, where he served as vice president. His award-winning watercolor paintings have been exhibited in juried shows across the United States, as well as in Canada, China, England, Greece, Hong Kong, and Italy. His work is in museum and private collections. Herman Pekel

Born in Melbourne in 1956 of Dutch parents, Herman was 17 when he held his first solo exhibition in Melbourne: it was a sell-out success. He spent three years studying and painting in Amsterdam and London, where he encountered the works of Constable, Turner and Rembrandt. These impressed him and influenced his own work. On returning to Melbourne in 1982 he began studying for his fine arts degree at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Dale Hickey, Jeff Makin and Clifton Pugh are just a few of the contemporary artists under whom Herman studied and who were instrumental in cultivating his appreciation of contemporary art, as well as experimentation with abstract impressionism.
